Amazon launches AI Ready, new free courses on AI for developers and non-technicians
Despite the negative mentality that AI can destroy thousands of jobs, it can really become an ally to qualify companies' workers and prepare them for new challenges in order to be more productive and efficient. This is why Amazon, in its effort to gain ground on Microsoft and Google, has launched a program to train millions of workers in AI: AI Ready.
Amazon's goal with AI Ready is none other than to provide free training and education in AI to at least two million people around the world by 2025. Thus, they have launched eight new courses to help adults improve their skills in AI and Generative AI, a new scholarship program, and a new collaboration with Code.org.
What will AI Ready mean?
To achieve the goal of democratizing AI training, AI Ready will eliminate the high costs of accessing these critical skills. Currently, 73% of employers intend to hire AI-trained staff, although three out of four find it difficult to fill such positions.
Likewise, it is estimated that with AI training, workers will be able to increase their salaries by 47%. The main reason is that 93% of companies expect to incorporate all available AI solutions over the next five years. So, it's crucial for employees to learn the same.
