Samsung Galaxy cell phones will use AI to translate calls in real time. The manufacturer tries to innovate by bringing a non-standard aspect of the use of artificial intelligence to the market for its next generation of Galaxy line devices in 2024.

Ai live translate call

Samsung launched Galaxy AI, a set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools exclusive to the company's cell phones. Among other things, the technology will allow the user to make calls with someone who speaks another language and see the text and audio translation in real time on their cell phone. The announcement took place last Thursday (9), and the technology is expected to be launched at the beginning of next year, in the new generation of the Galaxy line.

The tool, named "AI Live Translate Call", is natively integrated into the cell phone calling feature. when making a call in another language, It allows text and audio with the translation to appear live on the screen, eliminating the need for external applications. As Samsung stated, the idea is to make calling someone who speaks another language as simple as turning on subtitles when you watch a program.

As per Samsung, Galaxy Ai combines resources developed on the cell phone itself with AI solutions in the cloud. In other words, the technology runs partly locally on each smartphone, providing greater security and adaptability of responses to user patterns, which should increase personalization. At the same time, it uses cloud-based components, which should allow the user to connect from different locations.

The promise is that the new feature will improve the experience of using cell phones, especially with regard to communication. "Galaxy AI is our most comprehensive intelligence offering to date, and will forever change the way we think about our phones," Samsung Executive Vice President Wonjoon Choi said in a press release.

The on-site call translation function should first reach the Galaxy S24, which is expected to be launched in early 2024. Rumor has it that the premium smartphone will come with a 200 MP main camera and a titanium body.
